Social2B Social Media Marketing Intern
Social2B, a fast growing Business, Marketing and Social Media Marketing (SMM) integrator is looking for Social Media Marketing interns. The position of a SMM Intern (non-paid – transportation and essentials covered) is a great way to build experience and develop skills within the Social Media Marketing sector for individuals concentrating on marketing/communications/PR fields. Needless to say, the sector is the only real mover within the Online and Interactive Marketing fields. You will participate extensively in a variety of SMM projects (international, multicultural, technology based, etc.).
You will learn a lot about Social Media Marketing, however we would prefer to talk to candidates with some level of experience with Social Media. You will work with experienced marketers and learn how they tackle challenges and manage projects. You will learn new methodologies, new tools, and new marketing tactics and strategies – you will become an expert at Social Media Marketing!
Minimal, if any, administrative duties – our focus and your goal is to do as much on real client projects as possible. And because this is a Social Media Marketing position, your responsibility will be to write, interact (mostly via Internet – social nets and blogs), do research (mostly online), and create reports (we will provide templates and formats). Areas of Support and Involvement:
*Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization (only basic skills are necessary)
*Social Media Marketing (blogging, research, interactions, social profile creation and updates, sentiment monitoring and tracking, reporting, etc.)
*Customer retention and demand generation (you have to be creative and courageous)
*Website/customer analysis and feedback support
*Client community involvement, management, and support
*Research related to specific industry segments (travel, parenting, retail, legal, financial services, and others) – any experience in listed segments is a HUGE plus
*Strong writing and oral communication skills; Detail oriented, yet creative and ‘scalable’
*Strong editing skills
*Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet scheduled deadlines
*Excellent organizational and analytical skills
*Ability to manage time effectively
*Competent computer, Internet, and Social Media skills (excel, word, powerpoint, knowledge of social media environments – Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo, Blogging, etc.)
*A strong desire to learn (and learn quickly, while transferring your skills to others, including company principles)
*Ability to work well independently and within a team environment (may include onshore and offshore resource management assignments)
*Multilingual or Multicultural expertise/command of language is a HUGE plus (Spanish, Russian, German, French, Italian, etc.)
*We assume that you have a notebook (PC or Mac)
The work environment is comfortable and relaxed with casual dress. Locations in Downtown Manhattan, but working from home or campus some of the time is possible. A successful intern will be an independent team player, creative, quick learner, and not afraid of new experiences or multiple assignments. This internship will begin immediately and extend beyond a three month probation period for qualified candidates (for credit as well).
